Key Features & Design

The 2016 models represent the “sweet spot” of the Sabre 42\’s production run, featuring refined interiors and the highly sought-after joystick maneuverability.  

• The Hull: A modified Deep-V design that handles offshore chop with a “soft” landing. It is resin-infused, making it incredibly strong yet light enough to reach speeds of 30+ knots (depending on engine load).  

• The Layout: * Master Stateroom: Located forward with an island queen berth and private access to the head.  

  • Guest Accommodations: A unique “lower lounge” or dinette area that can be converted into a second double berth with a privacy curtain.  

  • Galley: Usually “mid-level,” keeping the chef connected to the salon while providing a dedicated workspace with high-end appliances (Vitrifrigo drawers, convection microwave).  

• The Salon: Large windows provide 360-degree visibility. The 2016 SE often features an electric sunroof and a power-drop window on the aft bulkhead to merge the salon with the cockpit.
